Kentucky judges may participate in social networking sites such as Facebook but a judge must carefully consider the nature of the relationship with an attorney. Judicial Ethics Opinion JE-119 (January 20, 2010).

KBA Opinion E-403 is an official advisory opinion authorizing the transmission of unencrypted email communications and a characterizes web pages as advertising, rather than solicitation (May 16, 1997). Note: the appendix is a copy of ISBA Opinion No. 96-10 and is much longer than the opinion itself.
