- Air Resources Board The California Air Resources Board's (ARB) home page offers meeting agendas, summaries, and transcripts; press releases; general information; and links to air quality data.
- Biodiversity Council The California Biodiversity Council offers biodiversity news, meeting announcements and agendas, and general information.
- Cal EPA The California Environmental Protection Agency (Cal EPA) offers files and information from the Air Resources Board (ARB), Department of Pesticide Regulation (DPR), Department of Toxic Substance Control (DTSC), Office of Environmental Health Assessment (OEHHA), and Integrate Waste Management Board (IWMB). Retrieve copies of policies, rules, regulations, orders, and assorted program documents.
- Caltrans The California Department of Transportation's (CALTRANS) home page provides information on various Caltrans projects. Local programs procedures, FHWA Guide to Federal Transport Programs, the Caltrans' Environmental Handbook, and Caltrans Transportation Programming Docs are available to download.
- CERES "CERES is an information system being developed by the Resources Agency to facilitate access to a variety of electronic data describing California's rich and diverse resources, such as information about physical environments, living creatures and their habitats, and environmental impact reports and studies. Information is made available through the CERES program to assist individuals, schools, community groups, government agencies and others in natural resource planning and stewardship, research and education. ... The resource information available through CERES comes in a variety of forms, including text, photos, satellite images, statistical databases and Geographic Information System (GIS) analyses, and comes from many sources, including local, State and Federal government agencies, academic institutions, and community groups."
- Conservation The California Department of Conservation is known as the state's conservator: protector; guardian; steward of the state's land, energy and mineral resources. This home page offers links to several divisions and programs, including the Division of Mines and Geology; The Division of Oil, Gas, and Geothermal Resources; the Division of Recycling; the Office of Land Conservation, the State Mining and Geology Board; and the Office of Mine Reclamation.

- California Department of Toxic Substances Control (DTSC) California Department of Toxic Substances Control (DTSC) Toxics Newsletter.
- Emergency Services The California Office of Emergency Services (OES) offers general information on its services as the agency that coordinates overall state agency response to major disasters in support of local government.
- Energy Commission The California Energy Commission home page offers energy policy reports, news releases and other information.
- Environmental Health Hazard Assessment The California Office of Environmental Health Hazard Assessment (OEHA) offers general information and documents, including a listing of Proposition 65 chemicals.
- Fire Marshal The California State Fire Marshal offers information on several programs and service provided by state fire marshal's office, including the Pipeline Safety Division's Oil Refinery and Chemical Plant Safety program.
- Fish & Game The California Department of Fish & Game home page offers the Fish & Game code, regulations, listings of state and federal endangered species, maps of Significant Natural Areas (see Natural Heritage Branch), the Bay-Delta Real Time Monitoring Program, and information on the Natural Diversity Data Base (NDDB) (see federal/state listed species).
- Forestry and Fire Protection The California Department of Forestry and Fire Protection offers general contact information.
- ICE House at UC Davis The Information Center For the Environment (ICE House) is a cooperative effort of an interdepartmental team of environmental scientists at the University of California, Davis and collaborators at over thirty private, state, federal, and international environmental organizations. It offers a great deal of experimental and provisional information, but the link to the California Rivers Assessment (CARA) is helpful and should give you an idea of how GIS analyses can be used.
- Industrial Relations The California Department of Industrial Relations home page offers workers' compensation, occupational safety & health (OSH), and labor law information.
- Integrated Waste Management Board The California Integrated Waste Management Board (IWMB) home page offers IWMB agendas, files, and program documents.
- Lands Commission The California State Lands Commission provides online GIS data (Geographic Information Systems), environmental impact documents, and general contact information.
- Occupational Safety & Health The Division of Occupational Safety & Health (OSH) "is charged with the jurisdiction and supervision over workplaces in California that are not under Federal jurisdiction. The Division enforces the laws and regulations governing the protection of the life, safety and health of every employee in California places of employment."

- Public Utilities Commission The California Public Utilities Commission (PUC) offers its agenda, calendars, and general contact information. You can also download the women and minority database.
- Resources Agency The California Resources Agency's home page provides general contact information and links to other resources, including CERES, the California Environmental Resources Evaluation System, and other environmental data.
- Santa Barbara Air Pollution Control District The Santa Barbara Air Pollution Control District (APCD) offers its newsletter, air quality information, and general information.
- South Coast Air Quality Management District The South Coast Air Quality Management District (SCQMD) offers general information and local rules and regulations.
- South Coast Interactive Map The South Coast Interactive Map offers current hourly readings of air quality from the South Coast Air Quality Management District in California.
- State Lands Commission The California State Lands Commission provides on-line GIS data (Geographic Information Systems), environmental impact documents, and general contact information.
- SWRCB The California State Water Resources Control Board (SWRCB) offers information from the SWRCB's BBS, including bulletins, hearing schedules, and copies of recent orders/resolutions. Download Underground Storage Tank (UST) regulations, Porter-Cologne Act, SWRCB policies and standards, and 23 California Code of Regulations (CCR).
- Department of Toxic Substances Control Department of Toxic Substances Control (DTSC) home page offers DTSC information, calendars, policies, press releases, and other files.
- Water Resources The California Department of Water Resources' (DWR) home page provides water conditions, general and state water project information.
- California Water Transfer Law Selected provisions of teh California Water Code relating to water transfers.
