Status
Missouri offers Informal Advisory Opinions on line. Missouri Opinion 1997-10 notes that an attorney web site soliciting potential clients to contact the attorney via e-mail should include on the web site a cautionary statement that e-mail communication is not necessarily secure and confidential.
Potential Issues
- Rule 7.1: No false or misleading communication.
- Rule 7.2: Copy of advertisement for two years.
- Rule 7.4: Identification of attorney as specialist.
